My super power is researching products! Below are list of products I have researched and recommend for purchase. These products are the best value, the best featured, the best quality, or more likely a blend of those three. I will continue to update this list. I mostly recommend tech products, but will also include other categories as I research this for my own personal use.
It's hard to beat apple silicon for the average user. The m4 chip is efficient enough for all day battery, but powerful enough to drive every day use. Also the display on this thing is awesome. With the small form factor, you can easily plop this into a backpack and have it with you wherever you go. This is NOT a good option for a primary gaming computer. While it will play games quite well, apple silicon still doesn't have full support for all the major game titles you might want to play. The integrated gpu is only good for light gaming.
View on AmazonThe Dell 14 Plus Laptop (DB14250) packs serious punch into a sleek 14-inch frame. With its crisp 2.5K 16:10 display, multitasking feels roomy and sharp whether you're working, streaming, or gaming. The Intel Core Ultra 7-258V chip and 32GB of fast RAM keep everything flying—perfect for power users on the go. A spacious 1TB SSD means you won’t be juggling files, and Intel Arc graphics offer smooth visuals for casual gaming and creative work. For better or for worse, windows laptops are now becoming co-pilot centered. This means a dedicated co-pilot key on the keyboard.
View on AmazonThis option should work for dual displays if the macbook is in clamshell mode. Ugreen is also a reputable brand. One thing I hate about shopping for inexpensive tech items is that there are a million companies I have never heard of that make them. Ugreen, however, is known in the space for making quality products.
View on AmazonThis is another secondary option to the Ugreen . Anker again is a known brand, however many comments report this option not working well with MacOS.
View on AmazonReally any model bigger than the 3.5's are going to be great. I've personally tried the 4.5's and the ext 7 models. This line of speakers packs quite a punch for a great price! even on the smaller 4.5" speakers I hear plenty of bass. The design is generic but doesn't look cheap, so it can blend into any desk set up. Keep in mind the physical size of these speakers as they will take up a decent amount of desk space.
View on AmazonThe RX 9060 XT 16GB is an awesome mid-range graphics card that hits a sweet spot for gamers. With plenty of VRAM, it's perfect for modern titles at 1440p and even light 4K gaming. You get near-flagship performance without draining your wallet, along with solid ray tracing support for immersive visuals. Its efficient design keeps temps and noise low, making for a cooler, quieter setup. It’s a smart upgrade that pairs well with most current CPUs and runs top games like Cyberpunk, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Elden Ring beautifully at high settings.
View on AmazonThis is not a perfect projector, but it checks the boxes for best budget option. It has HDMI, Native 1080p, but no smart OS built into it. Most people use a smart blu-ray player or a gaming console anyways which is going to give a significantly better viewing experience than a cheap projector trying to run its own operating system.

When browsing Amazon, don’t just go by shiny images or flashy discounts—look deeper. Check how many people have reviewed an item, and whether those reviews tell a consistent story. I always dig into the 1-star reviews to catch hidden flaws. Double-check the specs so you’re not grabbing the wrong model number by mistake, and poke around the seller’s store to see if they offer similar gear or helpful bundles. Sometimes you can score a better deal or discover a hidden gem. Amazon’s search rankings aren’t always your friend—so my advice: be picky, be curious, and never settle for what’s shown on page one. It’s all part of the hunt.
